Abstract:
Waaaaay back in 2006 I first held a RUNSTATS Master class where everything that RUNSTATS does to help, and hinder(!), us was fully explained. After 18 years it has now become an adult and has been updated right up until the last RUNSTATS change in Db2 13 FL500 with all the changes that have happened since 2006.
This session will show you how RUNSTATS works, when to, and not to, use it and how to use it as good as you can.

Abstract:
In this presentation we will show you how you can fully integrate your z/OS Db2 enterprise systems into any of the current front runners for SIEM integration. Included are examples of how it works, what it enables, how to keep the data long enough on the z/OS for your “lead overseer” to be kept happy and how it looks running in a fully integrated Zowe world.
Speaker bio: Roy Boxwell has more than 35 years of experience in MVS, OS/390, and z/OS environments – 32 of those in Db2. He specializes in installation, migration, and performance monitoring and tuning. Roy leads the SEG development team responsible for the real time database maintenance solutions. He is also an active participant, speaker and contributor on the IDUG Db2 Listserv and sends out a monthly Db2 z/OS Newsletter.
