A homogeneous system copy (HSC) is a clone of an SAP R/3 system within a single environment which is useful for:

• Demonstration and training.
• Reporting and data mining.
• Testing and quality assurance.

HSC for R/3 OS/390 and z/OS assists the DBA in creating a homogeneous system copy by providing precise implementation procedures and step by step instructions.

Additionally, it addresses and solves common problems incurred when creating a homogeneous system copy.

The online interface of HSC is accessed via the PiT Recovery Main Selection menu and automates the generation of all required batch jobs.
